Aaum Research and Analytics Pvt Ltd is established at IIT Madras ecosystem with a focus on researching and devising the sophisticated analytical techniques to solve the pressing needs of the businesses. Aaum has executed analytics for several clients ranging from finance, insurance, HR, Health Care, Entertainment, FMCG, Retail, Telecom. Aaum is founded by alumnus of IITM and includes Professors from IITM in its board as advisors. Aaum is a member organization of NASSCOM, CII, TIE

It’s the insight that gives our clients the basis for action and the edge for staying ahead of the competition. And Aaum provides insight through its deep knowledge of analytics and the business domain. Too often our clients tell us that they are challenged to see through the fog of data to extract insights that would allow them to act strategically.
That’s where we step in and help.
We use regression, cluster analysis, forecasting techniques, support vector machines, neural networks, etc – that’s a sample of technical jargon, but it helps. These techniques and their associated algorithms sift through volumes of information at lightning speed to unravel key associations and identify critical trends for our clients.
The value that we bring to clients is based not only on our knowledge of advanced analytics, but also about the industries we serve. We work with clients in industries ranging from retail and pharmaceutical to insurance and finance. We are partners with our clients as we work through challenges in customer acquisition and retention, meeting the needs of high prescribing physicians or assessing the risk in a portfolio. Our Team
Rajesh Kumar
Rajesh Kumar is an entrepreneur with robust experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, business intelligence, project management and IT process consulting working for several clients in Finance, Information Technology, Marketing and Operations domain. Rajesh holds rich consulting experience with Fortune 100 organizations. He has B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras and MBA from IIT Kanpur.
Parvathy Sarath
Ms. Parvathy Sarath is a data evangelist with extensive experience in retail, travel, etail, human resource, finance and social media . Her forte is in the field of data mining, machine learning and statistical modeling. She actively researches in social media to derive actionable insights using advanced analytical models. Parvathy topped her Masters in Econometrics from University of Madras.
Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Jhunjhunwala
Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Jhunjhunwala is Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras India. He received a B.Tech degree from IIT, Kanpur, and M.S. and Ph.D degrees from the University of Maine, USA. Professor Jhunjhunwala has the unique distinction among academics for combining innovations in technology and business incubation with the social goal of sustainable development in India.
Dr. Jhunjhunwala leads the Telecommunications and Computer Networks Group (TeNeT) of IIT Madras faculty whose members have been working closely with industry in the development of a number of products suitable for developing countries using affordable technologies for more than a decade.
Dr. Ashok Jhunjhunwala has been the recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri Award by the Government of India in the year 2002. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister of India (SAC-PM).
Prof Prakash Sai
Prof Prakash Sai is professor at the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He has wealth of international consulting experience in the broad areas of Technology Strategy Formulation, Techno-Economic Feasibility Studies, Organizational Restructuring, Corporate Planning, Business Process Reengineering, Activity Based Costing, and Industrial Engineering /Management.
Ms. Usha Narayanan
Ms. Usha Narayanan is a management professional with experience in diverse functional areas – business strategy, service delivery, marketing strategy & development and business process design. She has worked in regional Asia-Pacific and in-country roles, in Singapore, India and the United States. She holds an MS in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University.
